While researching for our doc GLOBAL WARNING I realized that I need to investigate the economic system we’re trapped in to find the reasons why we destroy what we love most (e.g. our planet and thus ourselves).
We are in an economic turmoil and the consequences of the financial meltdown will be rippling all over us and the planet. Did you know that there’s one person who predicted all this two years ago?
His name is Nouriel Roubini and the New York Times recently called him Dr. Doom. I find him to be a tremendously interesting person to listen to with a diverse background. Check out Mr. Roubini’s website

It’s turbulent times all over our planet. With the financial turmoil headlines now everywhere it seems we’re at a critical point. The more I deal with the making of our documentary GLOBAL WARNING the more it dawns on me that we seem to be at a crossroads as a society. I’ll be going into more detail about this in my next blogs.
In our last series of interviews we also met with the guys from NATURFREUNDE in Austria. They are an organisation promoting nature and environmental issues and they’re great guys. All our German speaking blog readers please check them out at http://www.naturfreunde.at/
I delivered the footage we shot so far now to our editing suite in Los Angeles. Still a little jet-lagged I went through some of the stuff cameraman Rich Marcus shot with his flip camera while we were scouting on top of the Lagazuoi mountain – one of the nastiest battlegrounds of the alpine frontline in WW1.
Very strange vibe witnessing this amazing landscape contrasted by the remnants of a brutal war. Here’s a little snippet Rich shot in the trenches:
